Raw Banana Ice Cream

Bananas are one of the most popular and plentiful fruits on earth! A versatile and handy snack that is incredibly healthy. They are rich in Potassium (467 mg), Magnesium and abundant in dietary fiber. Although, bananas make a great addition to your breakfast yogurt, cereal or smoothie , try this creamy raw banana ice cream! Add any toppings you can dream up and enjoy this wonderful sweet treat! Plus, it’s an excellent way to make use of any over ripe bananas you may have.

Make fantastic custard ice cream with one simple ingredient. Bananas! Slice bananas, place in a sealed container, and freeze overnight (about 6 to 8 hours). Place banana chunks into a food processor and blend until creamy in texture (about 5 minutes). Voila! Serve immediately with your favorite toppings!

The perfect topping! Warm caramelized maple bananas…Yum!


2 bananas, sliced lengthwise

3 tablespoon butter

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup real maple syrup

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup walnuts


Melt butter in a skillet over medium high heat. Stir in sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and maple syrup. When mixture comes to a bubble add banana slices and walnuts to the pan. Stir to coat. Continue to cook for about 2 minutes or until bananas are hot. Serve over ice cream, waffles or eat it by the spoonful! Amazingly good!
