Radishes in butter sauce

Approx. 1 lb. of radishes (trim most of the tops off except an inch or so)
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons organic or cane sugar
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Place the radishes in a large skillet and add just enough cold water to cover. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until the radishes are tender and the liquid has reduced to a glaze.
If the radishes are tender but the liquid hasn’t reduced, remove the radishes, but continue cooking the liquid until it reduces to a glaze.
