Quinoa and Veggie Stew (baby food)

Here is an organic baby food recipe from our customer Jenni!
I am going to endeavor to share more organic baby/toddler food recipes because I know many other moms (and dads!) are looking for creative, healthy choices to feed their babies and toddlers.
I run out of ideas for organic baby food recipes often, so I always appreciate others’ suggestions for cramming as much nutrition into a little mouth as possible. Here’s one we began feeding Samantha when she was just over a year old. Enjoy!
Quinoa and Veggie Stew (baby food)
- Prepare quinoa according to package directions.
- Trim, peel, and roast any good organic root veggies you have on-hand or can pick up at a local farmer’s market (or, if you’re smart like me, have them delivered to your house from Space Girl Organics!) — This particular blend contained carrot, sweet potato, and turnip.
- Chop veggies more or less based on your kiddo’s teeth situation, then add to quinoa.
- Add in some beans (pintos are pictured, but I serve black and kidney as well) for extra nutrition.
- Stir it up, blow on it a lot so as not to burn any little mouths, and serve!
