Lynn- The Boondock Saint, and delivery driver.

So, I finally got to write this man a check and it made me happy in my heart to do so!!!

His name is Lynn Miller and he is awesome sauce.

 

Lynn has been around since the inception of Space Girl Organics. He is a volunteer with the local shelter that I donate too. So he comes to our warehouse every week and picks up my left over produce as well as our “item of the week” that we collect from my customers.

I will never forget the first time he came to pick up produce. We loaded up his van and this conversation happened:

Lynn: May the Lord bless you and keep you all of your days.

Me: That was sooo boondocks saints. Can you say it again with an Irish accent?

Lynn: (Chuckles) I’ll do you one better, I will pray for you.

 

Yes, I made a joke about it but truthfully it was very powerful when he interceded on my behalf to the Almighty. Have you ever been blessed by a saint? Well, it’s powerful- very. And yes, I think Lynn is a saint. Why? Because he is a selfless soul that spends his time helping others. He volunteers his time, and gas money to run around and pick up items for the homeless and the needy. It doesn’t take big personalities or “important” people with fancy titles to change the world. It takes a whole bunch of Lynns banded together for a common purpose. If all of us did a little, like Lynn, then maybe, just maybe we could feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and make this world a little better.

Anyway- a few weeks ago Lynn asked if he could do deliveries for Space Girl Organics. “OF COURSE!,  ” was my response. I am very happy to have Lynn be on our team and was oh so happy to finally write my boondock saint a check.
