Item of the Week for November 10th – Operation Christmas Child!

 

Our Space Girl Organics ‘Item of the Week’ for the week of November 10th will be in support of Operation Christmas Child!

On your next produce delivery date, we will be collecting shoe boxes filled with hygiene necessities to go to children around the world that are in severe poverty due to wars and/or natural disasters.

Donating a gift-filled shoe box is easy. Just follow these 4 steps:

Find a plastic shoe box. A plastic box is best since children can use as a much needed container to carry water to and from their home.

Fill the shoe box with these suggested gifts: school supplies, small toys, toiletries, hard candies, t-shirts, socks, combs, hair clips or any other useful personal item, along with a personal note.  These items are priceless for kids without necessities, so soap or barrettes can make a huge impact.

Label the shoe box.  Please tape a note securely on the plastic box indicating whether it is for a male or female and the age range.

Leave the shoe box out.  If you would like to participate, leave the shoe box out on the date of your next produce delivery. Our delivery drivers will collect the boxes and get them to the Central Florida YMCA to be distributed to those in need.
