Baby Broccoli or Broccolini is related to broccoli, but actually isn’t broccoli!!!

“Baby Broccoli” is a hybrid of the vegetables broccoli and gai-lan.  It has smaller more tender florets and longer, thin stalks that have a mild sweetness. “Broccolini” is just a proprietary name for the vegetable baby broccoli.

Due to baby broccoli’s tenderness, you can eat the entire vegetable, including the occasional yellow flower. It is great sauteed, steamed, roasted or stir fried.
